  • July, 2002 – Exploratory meeting held by Ford Motor Company Hispanic Dealers in Orlando, Florida.
  • September, 2002 – Letter sent to Ford Motor Company, requesting the inclusion of the “Alliance” in Company meetings relating to minority dealerships.
  • October 26, 2002 – Survey sent to Ford Hispanic dealers requesting input on the development of a new dealer association.
  • December 18, 2002 – Letter from the Alliance to Ford Motor Company notifying the company of the leadership’s plan to establish the Alliance.
  • February, 2003 – Alliance is incorporated as a 501(c) non-profit organization; The incorporation includes the establishment of organization by-laws.

  • February 3, 2003 – Board meeting held in San Francisco, California; the Board members met with Ford Motor Company representatives.
  • February 25, 2003 – Ford Motor Company formally recognizes the Alliance as a dealer association.
  • September 6, 2003 – Alliance First Annual Round-table members meeting – Dearborn
  • November 18, 2003 – Alliance Board Meeting – Miami, FL
  • March 18, 2004 – Alliance Board Meeting – Chicago, IL
